I`d like the hard luck bandana in black...

Flo has developed some ideas for a new summer silk or even chambray version on the scarves, check out the colourways below.
Tell us your fave colour combo, and I want to know if you would like a silk cotton mix this year, all cotton or all straight as last year. Also size, were they big enough for your neck, could they be bigger? Thanks. I made the olive with tweed, corduroy or duck canvas in mind. I think the first two bandanas had a rather similar color sheme which doesn't work well with earth tones. So it will open more possible combinations.

The Hard Luck one that works the best for me is the black one (love it!). The dark green one is getting there, but I think it needs to be an emerald / bottle green, less 'military' looking. That design would also work well in a strong blue, like an azure, and a purple.
The green and navy nautical ones look nice - I kinda like the black one too, but I'd hold off doing that one in black until you can rework the design into something pirate-based. Material-wise, I wouldn't change a thing; the silk used before is perfect imo.

Was the size okay? I know for the skinny guys they are fine. I was thinking of making a bigger size, bit more apache for bigger guys in a silk cotton mix? (I also really like the black Hard Luck one and the Cream Sailors Dream)

Agreed on the silk. It's great. The size was OK although the knot uses up much space. It would be great if you could find a supplier for a leather loop thingy. Maybe do some embossing with the skull or and anchor?

Yes Warpath can can handle that for us. I had a biker mate who said his was slipping a lot. Perhaps he just needs to learn a reef knot and get a "woggle".

Never had a problem with a reef knot in mine, but yeah, an SJC woggle would be pretty cool. Leather-emobssed options. A biker-ring type might be cool, though that might be prone to slip as well.

I basically knot it like a tie, so no problem with slipping. It also means the ends go forward rather than to the sides.
With regard to 'Sailor's Dream', I think the nautical theme looks best with a blue background. It's the sea, after all! that said, the black is pretty cool - as is the cream. My main concern is that, by recycling the designs are maybe trying to hit a market where a number of potential customers already have that design and thus won't buy? After all, how many of us wear a neckerchief sufficiently regularly to want more than one of the same design. Also, I think cotton would be a good idea. It will cost less, for a start, and might attract less committed people with the low price. Print them up as handkerchiefs and offer them as a box set of three colours.

For me its black Hard Luck and cream Sailor`s Dream. Cotton would be absolutely fine for me, makes it easier to wash them...

Sean, several people already asked for a new run and I think with different colors the old customers can use them too. It would be a different color scheme and can be combined with different things. Also I hope that since the shoe thing went so good there will be plenty of new followers on social media and such...
The idea was to make an ready-to-make and affordable item between the BIG PURCHASE items to keep them interested. |
