Love the pipe. (Hmmn.... SJC PIpe? That'd be cool....)
I'm wearing mine for the second day now. Have had a bad cold this week, and the high neck has been wonderful. The quality is outstanding: this is the yardstick for the cardigans and all other knit wear. I love that it's tough, got a bit of heft to it, but Im' wearing it over just a t-shape undershirt and it doesn't feel at all itchy. 8am-11pm yesterday, not a single tickle. Cracking stuff.
FWIW, it also gained herself's instant approval. She particularly likes the skull and bones, said it gave it a detail that made it interesting visually. Im' loving itg myself - it's even better in person than in photos.
Haven't worn mine yet, but it looks and feels great. There is something very special about the yarn. I believe these are knitted on an ancient machine that makes the knit so damn good. I'd love to know what other styles the factory can do with that knit.
The long cuffs are great. So keeping them, making the body shorter and a wide crew neck we would have a good 30s varsity sweater. Perfect for patches too.
This would be the easiest version. Shawl collar and two tone cardigans are the other goals.
