You'll notice the neckband is hooped as opposed to straight. It was a thing in the 30's with such tees. I'm just wondering if I should make the neckband wider with 2 stripes or good to go?

So period correct neckline - how wide is this, it doesn't look Armour Lux Boatneck width. Decent sized pocket. What other USPs does it have to distinguish it from other high grade striped tee's, because there are many about.
I liked the one you were talking about from the waffle material, seemed more unique, but never seemed to get past the sample stage?

I would leave it as is, with the single stripe. Double stripe neckband will probably look a little noisy.
Be sure to be informed about shrinkage.

I know a lot of people like the pocket, as it gives that period authenticity, but personally I feel it spoil its.
There again, I look at a hooped t shirt and think '1960s garage band' (i.e. very cool) and don't expect a pocket. So I am probably the exception around here! And I am not the target market for this. I would be interested to see this being worn (which will be the only way to judge the neck) but I agree with Nik that two hoops on the neck would look excessive. What is the fabric? I like the idea of these being in the original weight bamboo as that gives a garment real staying power (as I said earlier, the 2016 t shirts that my son has are still doing well and my 2016 polo shirts are still looking good and holding their shape).

I like these. The pocket and the collar give it distinction from the Telnyshkas widely available in military surplus.
Would look great under a 49er style shirt-jacket.... |
