There was a very cool idea on Facebook to do a neckerchief with a swing or big band theme.
I see a neckerchief with different jazz instruments (piano, trumpet, saxophone, bass etc.) and flowing musical notes.
It would be cool to pick popular 1920s tunes and print the themes correctly (i.e. a musician will be able to read them and perhaps recognize the tunes). As a musician, I could help out with this part.
I think this might be attractive to several different consumer groups.
How about an Oxford bags themed silk scarf to go with the 'Oxford collection' featuring the 1926 Zulu language song about black fashion/culture in 1920s South Africa that refers to oxford bags? Might be curiously fun ...

I'm not familiar with that one; if it's in the Zulu language, though, presumably it passes the PC test - i.e. it ain't open to being misconstrued as racist.... Not that I'm suggested w be the PC police, more just that you have to be so careful these days when it comes to brand association. This sounds cool, though... with the added bonus that it's a little bit of historical reference point, and gives the trousers and other bits in the collection even more of a sense of 'story' to them...
I'm not sure if it would ever be possible, but how cool would it be to get an SJC shoot done with a group of real Sappeurs?

Yip. Woul make a cool liner for a brimmed hat too, if you were thinknig of going the length of collaboarating with a brimmed hatmaker that could do one of the sort of hats you see worn with the bags originally (or am I confusing this with the Romanian tradition - Sean?).
Have just purchased two more Neckerchiefs :-) Gold for me & red for my Father for Xmas (he's an ex-London Teddy Boy & current elderly Dandy).
Getting a long sleeved Polo when the next pay cheque comes in, would have sported out now, only I had to spend the money on some winter motorcycle gloves...or freeze!!!!
