Is something interesting going on with the jacket collar? it seems to protrude from the lapel a bit.

Yes, it's rather unusual. The lapel is slightly narrower than the collar, plus the notch is somewhat rounded.

Very nice... Particularly the low contrast between the green trousers and tweed jacket punctuated by a splash of colour with the polo and neckerchief.

Well, I got my photo in the album... I wasn't a finalist in the competition, though! (I flatter myself by thinkning it's only because I'm there as a contractor... ).

They loved the bits, though. Funnily enough, I had originally wanted to wear a collar and tie (likely a bow) with that jacket; the polo and bandan were Herself's idea. Worked really well too. Won't be the last time... The full-length photo, if they put it up, will show on the bottom half a pair of Darcy moleskin cricket whites and SJC spectators.

If you look through the file on Facebook, you'll see also a bunch of pictures of the guys in the Hornets MC. Very cool bunch, based on replciating the sort of MCs that were kicking around in the US by the 30s (the earliest known MC affiliated at the national level and still in existence is the YellowJackets, est c1931), a scene which expanded rapidly in the late 40s. A very authentic look - really different than the British rockers of the sixties who are also represented at the Revival. Another bunch that would be worth bearing in mind for modelling at some future date (I know someone who has a friend in their ranks, so could probably establish a contact). I could see an ad with SJC engineers being worn by one of these guys and a rocker type....

Salv, I thought it was Matt Lodder when the thumbnail first appeared - there's a bit of a resemblence! Not him, though. Suit really is nice - I suspect it might be Old Town?

Yeah, they run a 'best dressed' competition with finalists and awards on the day, as well as taking a whole bunch of photos of well dressed folks in the mobile studio. They do great photos - I'll be using that one for an avatar soon! I hope the one with the shoes turns up eventually, but this one does make the polo and the bandana look especially great! Ideally, the cap would have been a few inches wider, but white ones are such a bugger to clean, when Motolegends were clearing these out at a fiver a pop (down from £30-odds), I jumped on 'em and bought three.
