I wonder how many per cent of the customers are from the US and from which other parts of the world. Might be interesting to know what demands to cater for. If US customers were just a small number their dislike for corduroy might be irreleveant, if they were the majority their preferences should be heeded religiously.

Well, I have a pair of cordury german work trews, wich are very comfortable in the colder half of the year. Combined with a work shirt and a waistcoat, a pair of boots, a cap and a leather jacket it's common style from at least the twenties thru the fifties and has for me no seventies vibe...therefor I would be very intersted in a nice shade of brown cordury...

When there are so many other fantastic fabrics available in a variety of colours, that are also perfectly appropriate for this project and people are very positive about buying... why take the chance of making a corduroy work suit at this time? The love / hate demographic for corduroy even in here is pretty evenly split it seems, and I imagine it will be at least the same in the real world, if not more heavily weighted against corduroy because of the 70s associations. Why take the chance of turning off 50% of the possible market?

I don't see this as such a problem. I believe corduroy and moleskin don't need to be woven specifically, they should both be readily available in good weights. So I imagine minimums wouldn't be per fabric but more likely per suit. This means SJC could offer both fabrics at the same time without the risk of sinking the ship. Old Town also offer their garments in several fabrics. Those who don't like corduroy can choose a different fabric and vice versa.
