My burgundy and grey sweater arrived a couple of days ago, and it’s another fantastic garment! It’s quite cool today so I’ll be able to try it out later.

I'm considering the acquisition of one of these. Should I choose size according to the sizes I use in other SJC garments, like the long sleeve polos? I am using XXS of those... so I guess XS would be right for these new shakers?

I would check the measurements and order the one that corresponds exactly to your chest (as wool stretches) or slightly larger if you prefer a looser fit.

They are bang on accurate to size chart so measure a garment that fits your chest comfortably.

Received mine today - top marks for the most part. However, slightly miffed that its actually 90% wool and 10% acrylic. The online store states 'knitted from pure 3 gauge wool'.

You commented on the matter in the other thread saying it wasn't a big issue but Simon couldn't clarify what's the extra 10% and I'm of the opinion that the customer needs to be informed of everything when buying. But all yarn companies repeatedly explained its a bit like socks, the small amount of man made fibre helps them last a bit longer and retain shape. So...
No Guille I commented on the wool nylon mix. To me there's a world of difference between that and acrylic in the mix.
I'm assuming that other mix is nylon because 10% lycra wouldn't make any sense. Lycra is an elasthane and I would think that no company would suggest it for knitwear or if it did, it would be around 2%. 2% lycra is enough to turn denim into stretch jeans. But I'm with you on full disclosure of materials. Aside from that it may be a legal requirement as well.

Exactly, its the transparency I was getting at. Customers need to know exactly what they're buying, not just an "Oh yeah, whoops" from the vendor once transactions have already been made. I'd suggest putting the 90% wool 10% acrylic info into the store description rather than just removing the 'pure wool' terminology used before.
