The dungarees look interesting. It's not something I've worn since I was about six (save for a Rocky Horror costume), but I'm halfway tempted by the idea of a cheap pair just for wearing about the house, see how they feel. Loungewear sort of thing.... Beats sitting about in me pants when I don't want the hassle of getting fully dressed....

![]() ![]() Yesterday's outfit for the Chap Olympiad 2016. Cap is white linen, by "King of Cool" brand from MotoLegends. Not asfull in the boy as I'd prefer, but I pickedc up three of them when they were on deep discount (£6 a pop) a few years ago, as white caps can be a nightmare to keep clean. The shirt is a Darcy tunic shirt, with separate Arundell collar, as supplied to Peaky Blinders. Bow tie and pocket square also Darcy. The trousers are Darcy's cricket trousers, in white moleskin. Neater than my usual fit of preference, but very nice nonetheless (I'd love something like this with a wider, 30s fit). I just had them rolled up as I didn't have time to have them hemmed. Not sure whether to try to have my usual cuff hemmed on them, or just to go with the sporty feel and leave the bottom plain... Jacket came form Epic Militaria for £20(!) - sold as a WW2 Kriegsmarine jacket for re-enactment, though identical to a West German naval jacket I had many years ago (but grew out of) - I suspect it's one of the very many elementsof German military uniform that didn't change, save the badging, after the war. Works very well as a civilian- style 6 on 3 yachting blazer. Shoes are Bass Weejuns in black and white, standing in for the SJC specs that haven't arrived yet. Not visible in picture: Thurston button braces and sock suspenders, again purchased from Darcy.
Edward I just saw someone posting this on Facebook: http://m.xinmin.cn/mobile/news/content/3...454aa0f333
Apparently it is some chinese news site. I can't read what it says.

Ha! That's fun, I wonder if any of my students in Beijing saw it... I've been on Japanese tv at the Olympiad before, but never A Chinese site! :-)
