Surely time for SJC to be looking into some cool premises, like the Water Poet in Spitalfields, and planning ahead to have some of our 'house bands' play at a launch party for a new season line - SJCStock?

Man good idea. A bit like the clutch events with Harlem Slim or Brian Bent. Please do. If it's in spring I will come over to London. (if the border patrols let me in)

Yep infact i have a little trunk show arranging to do, I was discusssing with a stylist in NY about doing a trunk show and we have come quite far with the discussions, so all things being good I think SJC is going to NY Oct 10 for a Trunk Show.
The idea is to share the winter wares in Oct: NY, LA, London, Berlin (or somewhere in Germany) and Scadoland possibly Stockholm. With some live music or djing, free booze in a party vibe to meet and greet the established (you) and the new curious customers in these lands. Ill bring everything SJC is doing from new suits, coats, knits, boots, shirts, all we have discussed is now in operation and more. Attendees can discuss, try on, and buy there live. So for those of you who know these corners of the world Id be grateful if you could kindly post some shop location suggestions below, post a link or two of stores you think might make great host; but note it doesn't have to be a vintage store, it can be a menswear store that sells new stuff, it can be a gallery, it could be a furniture design store for all i care, but obviously a menswear store would be ideal. Local bands or period style djs, also start up booze companies who may be looking for some PR also would be ideal suggestions, entertainers, bubble blowers (I'm talking to you Jonathan) and ill check 'em out. Anything you have that would make a fun evening. *Special request, I am looking for Press Agents and Stylists. Do you know any working Press Agents that work with media or Stylists (real magazine shooting stylists) in your region above? If so please pm me.

DJs: Ginger Fizz. Great girl, very reliable, I believe might be open to international gigs if you give her enough notice - London based. http://www.gingerfizzdj.com Also DJ'ed at the Chap Olympiad, playing 20s & 30s stuff if you want a bit of that. DJs from 7" vinyl. Old School.
DJ: Miss Aloha - one of the most established rock and roll / 50s DJs on the London scene, the creative brain behind the long-running Hula Boogie jive night (and a jive teacher on the side, which may or may not add a fun additional activity - get her to bring along the Reverend Boogie or someone similar and dress the guy in SJC - two very classy dancers who could live-demo SJC bits from that pov. Is there any sort of fringe event to LFW, like a sort of alternative to mainstream fashion that could be used as a springboard (perhaps sidestep some of the orgsnisational hassle?) Venues: Rich Mix gallery / exhibition / cinema space https://www.richmix.org.uk Genesis Cinema has also always been open to cool stuff, maybe do a tie in event in their bar with a screening of something, like a cool film that inspired the SJC collection or something? https://genesiscinema.co.uk/GenesisCinema.dll/Home If you wanted to go for a full-on catwalk show option, Wilton's Music Hall could be very cool, but note it's not cheap - perhaps one to work up to: http://wiltons.org.uk

If we take Edwards rockabilly example: what is the advantage to attending a festival which is well known and where all the rockabilly customers would turn up anyway? (Rhthm riot, Atomic Festival etc) Why put work into a relatively small local event if you can just sell at the big ones? The people who see your advertising are already aware of you. While for a public event there might be more new customers.
Ok, that's only one possible scenario. If we leave the rockabilly part aside and say it's more focussed on menswear. How it would draw an audience. Maybe "fashion week" related. Although then the venues might be booked out. You really have to work with retailers if you want to use their stores. Like regular email contact. Exclusive items which won't be suddenly 50% in your own online shop and so on.

Its not to sell Flo, not specifically, not like a stall in a music venue.

That was a rather comfortable outfit. I can honestly say that the SJC blazer is rather comfortable to wear fully buttoned in temperatures of over 30 degrees.
