Earlier this week:
1. Wearing not a stitch of SJC, which is rare these days. Two thirds of a suit are pretty much my uniform these days, with either the suit jacket or a warmer coat thrown over whenever I sneak away from Zoom...: ![]() (The trousers need shortening, I think.......) 2. Back from another walk at lunch break, before crawling back into the home office. The blue tweeds get a lot of wear. I'm looking forward to the new King Cole suit to mix things up a bit. ![]()

Cool outfits! I think I spot a Darcy knit, what about the leather jacket and coat?

Yesterday was workwear Wednesday, doing a little heavy lifting around the house. Filson waistcoat, Swiss army fatigue trousers, Thomas Farthing tweed cap - and that 2018 SJC workshirt (can't remember what it was called, it's that grey-blue chambray-like fabric).
![]() I look a little bit like Emil of Lonneberga's dad in the old Astrid Lindgren movies..... First time wearing the Riviera DB blazer this Saturday.
![]() ![]() ![]() I haven't done anything to it other than alter sleeve lenght and deiced to keep only two buttons in the cuffs. ![]() • David McQ, Herr Möll, Hieronymous, Jake Gittes, metatron, NCF, Nik, RockinByrdie, Royohboy, Sean Longden, Urrah

Hiking in the countryside today, around 1°C. Wool 33 Jacket over a Pendleton board shirt over a long-sleeve wool-cotton mix ex-army undershirt. Kept me plenty warm without any need for the SJC V-neck jumper in my rucksack. Did I mention I love this jacket?

Nowhere else to post so I'll post it here.
Has anyone washed their heavy corduroy trousers? I know, Simon, sacriledge. But I like washed corduroy. The thing is though, somewhat akin to knitwear, laundering corduroy is hit and miss. Corduroy should actually get better from washing and it often does (like knitted wool) but some garment don't (again like knitted wool). They lint heavily instead, emerging from the wash linted - and linting. I've had case studies of both. The ones that didn't lint got better and better. So, before I ruin these, any laundry experience so far?

Hi Nik
Personally i think it will be fine, but just don't cut them first, as you won't lose anything in the waist, so nothing to worry about there, if you do it will only be in the leg length. Of course none of this saves you from descending into hell for this crime against cloth ![]()

![]() The holidays are upon us and as you can see I am absolutely thrilled. Also basically the first time not in jeans and T-shirt in 6 months, so that’s nice I guess.

NCF: That suit was such a good one. I really felt it didn't get the love that it deserved.
Lot's of nice new product has been going out from SJC in the last couple of weeks. So I look forward to seeing people post photos on the forum. Come on boys, let's show Simon some happy customers!

Honestly, that suit is so good I got both. Fits perfect on my body, too (every other suit or jacket from SJC has needed some TLC especially in the collar/neck area but this fits good out of the box).
