For me, the spearpoint collars on the dress shirts (printed cotton sateen) were a nice looking shape but they weren't deep enough and, as such, they didn't sit outside the collar comfortably. Now, I know that some on the vintage scene think that it is wrong to place the collar outside the lapels, but for me it is an essential part of the British mid-20th Century look. I prefer it when a collar looks just as good when worn without a tie as it does when it is worn with one.
